Dust Nuggets isn’t a film about the mind, it is the mind. Everything we touch, sense or feel is from our mind. This movie universe is no different. Buddhist teaching states we humans are the cause of all our own suffering, which is certainly the case for our main character, KK Colson.
The course set into motion by KK’s chasing after fame, her ambition, her envy of others comes at a deadly price.
As KK and her band, Dust Nuggets, climb the Fame Ladder, the audience discovers hidden motives that KK may not even understand. Dust Nuggets not only asks questions about blind ambition and the pursuit of fame, but the blossoming of new love and the struggle for psychological survival.
